Game Story

The great war of magic caused the cataclysm which crushed civilizations and altered our world. We have been trying to recover lost knowledge for two hundred years. Rebuilding process has started, but only distant memories and remnants exist as a proof of the days of old. The people have partly forsaken their King and taken matters into their own hands... or worse yet, serve darker powers that dwell the thrice flooded lands.

Lately there has been rumors about mysterious creature, that has been animating corpses and skeletons. Bit by bit it is conquering the lands around the Kingdom. All attempts to communicate with it has been unanswered and messengers killed. All of the Kingdoms forces, including Rangers, Wizards and the Oracle, has been trying to find out what or who this creature is and where it came from. All our efforts has been in vain. there is speculations if it game from another realm or rise from the Depths. We call its army the animated and it The animator, the lord of the animated.

The King demands the kingdom to be united once more. Unexplored wildlands used to be under the King's rule, but after the infrastructure collapsed and people's minds altered, all was lost. The cataclysm also affected the animalia near the center of the cataclysm by transforming them in various degrees of human shapes and also by enabling them to be able to conjure magical things, surely a powerful gift from the Gods. The King has made bounties available for every group willing to quest the vast wildlands and defeat the evil forces residing there. Many have already taken their oath to serve the King in hopes of rebuilding or fat pay-off.

The Royal Library’s head archivists has found pre-cataclysm documents that claim that there are jewels of power that were used by ancestral rulers to make their kingdoms prosper. How this was done is still unclear, but they managed to translate the location where jewels were kept.

There used to be royal capital city where now is the forest of Gurha. It was called Gataryle there are some ruins that are still on surface and one of them is the royal temple of people. There should be hidden room under temple floor accessibly through altar stone. In this room one of the jewels of power called Everlasting Light was kept.

The Archivists continue to translate documents and tries find answer how to use jewels. However they also found that jewels were stored and were guarded for a reason. The Jewels can be used to cause great good or to great harm or even destruction in the wrong hands. There are even some references to fallen kingdoms….

Characters

A player chooses a character to guide through the adventure.

Each character is represented by a card containing a code, which allows the application to identify the character as well as track it's progression during the game.

The characters form a Party of Adventurers.

Each character has specific abilities, which are tested during challenging events.

In many events, the players have the option to combine the strength of their characters, or choosing which character participates in which task

Game progresses in 15 steps, mimicking classical storytelling structures.

In each step, the players co-operatively face a challenge, which is presented through the application, as well as getting a (chapter/bit/scene) of the story.

During each step, the player can manage their character - spend consumable items, and such. Each step contains an event. The event typically contains a cutscene, and a choice, challenge or a mini-game of some sort.

Choices are typically multiple-choice, with results influenced by the capabilities of the party.
